The Poverty Bay Farmers’ Meat Company’s newly-acquired steamc;, Admiral Coaungtbn, at present on route to Australia, is expected to visit Auckland about January 10 from Bun bury, with a cargo of hardwood. At Auckland she will have her holds insulated and will also havo refrigerating engines installed. Tho fitting out of the steamer as a meat-carrior will probably occupy from six weeks to two months. A vessel of 6600 grosß tons, she was built last year by W. Doxford and Sons, at Sunderland, England. Her dimensions are:—Length 420 ft, breadth 54ft and depth 84.4 ft. The Kurow is timed to leave Napier to-day for Lyttelton, and should "arrive here cm Friday. . iho To Annu was expected to roach Auckland on Monday from southern ports, via Napier. She will load at Auckland for Lyttelton. Timaru, Oamnru and Bluff. Ngahere is due here to-day from the Chatham Islands with sheep and cattle. The Orepuki is duo from Greymouth thia evening with a load of timber. The Waimana, which left London on November 22 for New Zealand ports, will call on her way out at Bombay and Australia. iJio vessel is due in New Zealand 021 January The Hatimaru is duo on December 28 from New York, which port she left ,on November •*1 for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australian ports. The Ruapohu left Bristol on December 1 for New Zealand, via Cape Tov-n. The schooner Progress left Sydney on Sunday for Wellington with a cargo of hardwood. The Tarawera, left Sydney at 4 p.m. on Ihursday with general cargo for Bluff and Dunedin. On discharging at tho southern port the vessel will return to Sydney via Wellington. After being laid up for several years past at Dunedin, tho auxiliary cutter Variance has been purchased by Captain Wiig, of Auckland, and will, after being overhauled, be employed in the Auckland-Islands trade. Tho King Cyrus has left London for New Zealand ports. The Kittawa completed her discharging on Monday evening, and sailed on her return trip to Greymouth.
