HARDWARE. There have been practically no prioe alteraLions during the weea. The supply of lettuoo, radishes and spring l unions is at present effort. Carrots, parsnips and beet aro aiso in smail supply, and prices .or these roots are particularly high. Gwing to the non-arrival ol a steamer during tho week, a shortage of imported fruit ia oeing experienced tlua week-end, but the position will bo somewhat relieved by a shipment which is duo on Monday. The usual o-ytiney shipment of oranges, Junes, mandarins aud oananas is expected to arrive in Christchurch «s the Manusa on Tuesday. The Fiji shipment arrives in Auckland on Monday, and ia expected to bo on thu Christchurch market about a week later. A good supply of eggs is coming forward, and there is an excellent demand from buyers for winter sunnly.
