SENATE TO VOTE ON FALL'S AMENDMENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, October 1. The Senate unanimously agreed to take the final voto on Senator A. B. Fall’s thirty-five amendments to the Pea.co Treaty on October 21. This will be the first definite test of party strength. REPUBLICAN AMENDMENT DEFEATED. WASHINGTON, October 2. The Senate rejected, bv 58 votes to 30, Senator Fall’s amendment eliminating the United States from the International Boundaries Commission. DRIVEN OFF THE STAGE. NEW YORK. October 5. At ArdmoTG, Oklahoma, Senator Reed was driven off tho stage when he attempted to make a speech against the Treaty. RATIFIED BY FRANCE. PARIS, October 2. By an overwhelming vote the Chamber of Deputies ratified / the Peace Treaty. DEMOCRATIC RESERVATIONS. WASHINGTON, October 2. Senator Smith (Democrat) will move seven reservations to the Peace Treaty, chiefly providing that ratification ana amendments to tho League Covenant shall first be submitted to the Senate, and that the Reparations Commission shall not interfere with commerce between tho United States and Germany. FALL’S AMENDMENT LOST. (Received October 3, 7.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 2. The Senate defeated the series of Senator Fall’s amendments, tho voting averaging 55 to 30. The voto, according to Democrats, is a favourable indication that tho Treaty will finally be adopted. Later. The remaining amendments by Senator Fall were unanimously rejected.
