, TO TUB EDITOR. Si ri —lf Stale'control is good and economic for tho liquor traffic, surely it would be good, in providing tho commodities of household necessities. Wo have., the...experience (bitter ones) in tho matter of coal and wood at present. Even at the extraordinary prices wo cannot get it unless wo. have been on tho books of tho wholesale merchant. The Government, with the Deoplo at its back, has tho security in estate and taxes. Why not bunt up and open up every seam of coal in the Dominion, and practically supply the public? It is well known that, tho State Bale has been a boon so far. Why not extend it? The noor are tho worst sufferers, and compriso the most needful part of the community.—l am, etc., CONSUMER.
