FRANCE AND ITALY IN CONFLICT.

(Received July 7, 8.10 p.m.) LONDON, July 6According to Milan newspapers’ Fiume correspondents Signor CrazioM appealed to the French to prevent the Jugo-Slavs landing at Martinsehizza, in the rear of tho Italians holding the armistice line. On hearing that instructions must be awaited front General Frauchet d’Esperey, who is at Constantinople, Signor Crnzioli took independent action- Accordingly when a hugo transport, requisitioned by the French, appeared in Martinschizza Bay, crammed with Serbian and Jugoslav soldiers, an Italian destroyer ordered her return to her port of departure. otherwise she would he sunk. This order was obeyed.
