EMPLOYMENT OF AN ALLEGED GERMAN.

[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 7. Tho Merchant Service Guild had under consideration the employment of an alleged German skipper on an Auckland coastal vessel after the Guild had been instrumental in preventing him from going to sea ns master of the steamer early last year. The following resolution was cairied:—“That the Government be notified that if this man goes to sea, or as soon as it is known that a German has sailed in any ship, Guild members will leave their ships on tho following day.”
