OBITUARY.
DAVID BELLHOUSE. There passed away at Dunedin on June,26 a figure formerly well known in Ohristchurch, in tho person of Mr, David Bellhouse, at tho ripe age *>f eiglity-four. Mr-Bellhouse arrived in New Zealand thirty-six years ago, and until 1915 resided in this city. During the whole of the time h© was retired from business, but devoted a good deal of his loisure to honorary secretarial work for various bodies and associations, including at one time tho secretaryship of tho Christchuroh branch of the Navy League. In the early eighties he organised, with three others, the _ Christchurch Diocesan Choral Association, being secretary for upwards of thirtv years- <This work was his great pride, and the successful yearly ; festivals of music in Christ-. church Cathedral owed much to his energy and enthusiasm. Worshippers at the Cathedral will remember him as a prominent sidesman for many Years. He was a k»en supporter of the" Liedertafel and Musical Union. Three years ago Mr Bellhouse left Christchurch to reside with his friends. Mr and Mrs F. C. M'Clurg, in Dunedin. AH his relatives are in England and America.
