WORK FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS. [Pm Pres* Association.] WELLINGTON, June 4. At the sitting of the Parliamentary Industries Committee to-day, the evidence of ALr A. Harris, M-P. .for Waitomatn, taken on, June 2, was read. MHams produced a sample of tobacco grown at Henderson, twelve miles from Auckland, by Fvamick, a Dalmatian, who told him that ho was a very successful grower of tobacco in bis native country, and had imported tho seed from there and planted it at Her.dor-t son, with highly satisfactory results. l Frainiek assured him that the sample of fcob.aeco he produced was second to none in the world, and was grown ovS what was known «s poor gum land.
