SEQUEL TO MOTOR ACCIDENT. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 3. At the Supreme Court a claim for £6OO damages was made against Harold H. Morris on account’ of injuries alleged to have been received by John M’Callurn, aged five years, through being knocked down by defendant’s motorcar. The accident occurred in May, 1918, at the corner of Ghuznee Street and Willis Street, and it was alleged that the motor-car was negligently and unskilfully driven. The evidence for plaintiff was to the effect that defendant was travelling at the rate of twenty to twenty-five miles an hour. The defence was a general denial of the allegations of negligence on the part of defendant, who stated that at the time of the accident the car’s speed was from ten to twelve miles an hour. 'The jury, after three bouts’ retirement, announced that it was unable to agree. A majority, newever, awardorj plaintiff £IOO damages, ana judgment was accordingly entered for that amount-
