JJrunsden (Auckland), F. C. Fantham (Westland) O. Atkinson (South Auckland), VV. E. Benson (Otago), J. R. Buchanan (JNelson), B. O’Neill (Auckland), H. M’D. Vincent (Hawke’s Bay). It was agreed that all clubs in Westland, with the exception of Greymouth, should bo exempted from the payment of fees for the present season. In reply to a query from the Canterbury Surf and Life Saving Association, as to the fairness or otherwise of the Canterbury Centro charging the association a fee for a pormit to conduot surf competitions, the chairman pointed out that a surf competition was not a race meeting under the rules of the council, and, that being so, the question pf a permit for holding the competitions lapsed. It was agreed to remit the fees •hargod to surf associations.. Consideration of the alteration of the boundaries of the Auckland and South Auckland centres wa9 held over. Mr A. M. Farnall, tho association’s representative in the North Island, wrote at considerable length regarding the formation of a Hew centre in tho Wairarapa and Manawatu districts, stating that a conference of bodies Interested was being hold. The letter was received aud Mr Farnall’s action was approved. The Registrar of Incorporated Societies notified that the change of address from Auckland to Christchurch had been recorded. Regarding a letter from the secretary of the Auckland Centre, asking advice on tho ma 4 ter of the Waitemata Chib’s lefusal to ndmit Mr Jerome as a member, the secretary reported that he had replied that the proper course for the Centre to pursue was to hold an inouiry and to call .upon the Waitemata Club to show cause why Mr Jerome should not be admitted to membership. Should the club not make out a satisfactory case, the Centre would have a perfect Tight to order tho club to admit him. The secretary’s Toply .was approved. It was decided to investigate' on April T 4 pertain charges alleged to have been made by Mr E. Eldridge at a meeting of the Canterbury Centro on January 25 "last. It was decided that tho Canterbury Centre should bo written to, Sointing out that the council held grave oubts as to whether the Addington, Tinwald and Woolston Clubs had held 'heir. annual meetings this year, and that unless information 'were received to tho contrary these clubs would be struck off the list of clubs affiliated to tho Centre. The sub-committee set up to consider romits from the conference of Centres recommended that with regard to school childrtn’s certificates provision should be made to cairy out tho alterations suggested in the remit, *s follows: —" That learners who have bwutp this year 50 yards ho awarded learners’ certificates, and that in future tho certificate ©f merit should be uniform and simply ehow that tho hoy or girl concerned has swum one mile, hut that this latter provision ehoulij not ho operative for the current soarecommendation was approved. ADDINGTON SCHOOL. The Addington School swimming sports were held in tho baths yesterday afternoon, when there was a largo attendance or parents and children. The afternoon was beautifully fine, the. competitions were numerous, and the various ovents were keenly contested.
