Tho Wootton is due back from ’Wellington on Saturday, and is timed to leave on Monday: evening on the return trip to Wellington. The Storm arrived early yesterday morning from Wanganui. After discharging her cargo and roloading she’ sailed last evening for Timaru. The vessel is expected back in Lyttelton on Saturday ■'ol 1 Sunday, when she will load for Picton and Wanganui. The Calm, which arrived on Tuesday evening from Wanganui with sheep, after unloading at tho cattle wharf, was berthed at the east side of No. 7 wharf, where she loaded for Dunedin and Timaru. She sailed last evening, and is due back on Monday. The Canopus was expected to leave Timaru last night, and should arrive hero this morning to complete her unloading of a part cargo of coal from Westport. The Corinna, from Dunedin, is not expected to reach Lyttelton until Sunday; The Hororata, after discharging her troops at Wellington, will proceed to Auckland before calling at Lyttelton. The Poherua, from Westport, is duo here to-night with a cargo of coal.
Th© Ooma is expected to complet© the discharging of her cargo of coal from Newcastle by Saturday, after whioh sh© will commence loading a largo cargo of general produce and tallow for a Home port.
The Kaianoi is duo here next. Tuesday from Dunedin. From Lyttelton she will proceed to Wellington, thence Greymouth and Melbourne.

The Putiki is expected to arrive In Lyttelton from Dunedin early this morning. She will sail this evening for Nelson and Wellington. The Union Company’s barquentino lima, which has arrived at Sydney with a load of timber from Auckland, is to load for Wellington. The Monowai was delayed In her departure from Auckland yesterday. .She will leave the northern port to-day for Napier, Wellington and Lyttelton, omitting Gisborne. She should reach Lyttelton about Tuesday next..
The Koromiko should reach Lyttelton tomorrow from Newcastle.
Advice has been received by tho Union Company that tho Atua loft Suva on Saturday afternoon with a full load of EUgar for Auckland, where c-ho is duo this morning. On completing her discharging she will pro- 1 coed to Sydney. Tho schooner Rim is oxpected to sail on Saturday for Auckland direct with, a cargo of produce. The Niagara, which left Sura on Saturday, was due at Auckland yesterday morning. Mr J. Jeffries, engineer on the Kapuni, has signed off that, vessel’s articles. Mir.'F. Duggan, late wireless operator of the Mararoa-, is now oil tho Kttrow, which is to make a trip to Newcastle. Mr J. A. Meek is now on tho Mararoa as wireless operator. The Manuka was duo at Auckland yesterday from Sydney. Mr C. J., Haclcworth has jonsd the Mapourika as second officer.
Captain C. Thompson is to tako command o! the Invercargill. After having certain alterations made to her forecastle, tho Mapourika will enter tho Wellington-Auckland cargo service. Tho departure of the Mat atua for London via Colombo and Bombay has beau postponed till Saturday next. As tho berths on the Union Steam Ship Company’s steamer Komata for tho accommodation of passengers from Wellington to the West Coast have been found insufficient, ten or twelve additional saloon bertha ore to be fiited. In order to make room for the proposed alterations, a new cabin will be erected -for tho master on the port side- of
tho bridge, and cabins for two officers on the .starboard sido. A stewardess will probably b-s carried »Ibo. Several weeks will elapse before tho work is finished. It is reported ■ that the Union Steam Ship -Company's steamer Maitai, which piled up on a reef at Rarotonga somo two years ago, has broken tip now. During the night of the 12th February, she .broke at No. 3 hold, and next day tho funnel and masts had gone. All that is now left is from tho bridge to the bow
Tho Ngakuta reached Sydney from Groymouth yesterday; also the Perth, from tho same - port. Tho Daghild, -which is expected to leave Sydney to-day for Lyttelton, is to load, in addition to a general cargo, 24,000 bales of wool at Lyttelton. This is said to bo tho
largest consignment of wool to leave New Zealand by one vessel. The Laghild i* expected to leave here on March 22. The Stella is due here to-morrow morning from the Chatham Islands, _ with » cargo of sheep and wool. She will leave for the islands again the same evening. - ■ The Alexander is due here this week with sheep from the Sounds. On discharging she will sail for the Sounds for another cargo of sheep.
