CONGREGATIONAL UNION.

[Peb Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 12,

At the annual conference of the Congregational Union to-day tho treasurer’s report was adopted. A number of loans were granted, and grants were made to churches needing aid. Officers were elected as follows: Chairman of Union, Rev Harry Johnson (Mount Eden); secretary, Rev A. E. Hunt (re-elected); treasurer, Mr F. Meadowcroft (re-elected); auditor, Sir H. S. Miller; preacher, Rev W. Tanner.

It was decided to hold next year’s conference in Dunedin.

The proceedings of the conference concluded to-night) with the annual sermon. A number of delegates left for the south to-night, and the remainder will leave to-morrow.
