FUNERAL.

THE LATE ME A. W. RUTHERFORD, JUNR. The funeral of the late Mr A. W. Rutherford, jun., Brookdale, took place at the Waiau public cemetery on Thursday. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev Dr Erwin, Christehureh, assisted by, the Rev J. H. Thomson, Waiau. Dr Erwin gave a brief address eulogising the many excellencies of the deceased's character. The pall-bearers were: — Messrs T. C. Robinson, L. A. Rutherford, C. O. T. Rutherford, J. R. Stringer, J.
