CRICKET.
DISTRICT COMPETITIONS. MATCHES POSTPONED. . The council of the Canterbury Cricket Association met on Saturday ou the Hagley Parle ground and decided to cancel all competition games, owing to the influenza epidemic, which caused shortages in all teams. It was, however, decided to invite men who were present on the ground t;o indulge in practice games. The College team, with the aid of several Juniors, turned out in full force, but their opponents, West Christchurch, with Juniors, were two men short. Boys’ High School: were two short against Sydenham, who, with the aid of Juniors, made tin to ten men. East Christchurch had nine men present, and St Albans, against whom they were drawn, were two short. Linwood mustered nine (including two Juniors) against Riccartou, who were several short. CITY AND SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION. All matches in the City and Suburban Association’s competition on Saturday were postponed owing to the influenza epidemic. BOYS’ LEAGUE. • A number of matches were played by Boys’Cricket League teams. '
