OBITUARY.
C. A. O. MARCH. Mr C. A. O. March, a well-known theatrical advertising agent in Christchurch, died on Wednesday, being one oi the victims of influenza. Ho had the rights of programmes issued by nearly all the largo theatrical companies that use the Theatre Royal. Home years ago ho took over the theatrical advertising business conducted by Messrs Gardiner and M'Donald. He was very popular with all connected with theatrical affairs in Christckurch. The funeral left Mr March's lata resideneo at Howe Street, New Brighton, yesterday, for tho Linwood Cemetery. Widespread regret has been expressed at the deceased's untimely death, and this was shown by the largo attendance at the funeral. The poll-bearers were Messrs It. C. Brien, \\\ A. Drake, C Dennis, G. L. Cull, F. Dobbie and F. Holsden. The chief mourners were Mrs ScJbie (mother) and Mr" and Mrs B. T. March (cousins). Amongst those p'resent were the Ma tor (Mr F. Kibblonrliile), Messrs E. J. Pegg, W. G. Sutton.' W. C. Holsden, E. Rowley. W. J. Wilding. W. Bannehr. M. Edwords, D. Moore, H. G. Lane, G. Sutherland, F. Drake, G. Payne, C. H. Ernne, H. 0. Osment, G. Anderson, G. Lawrence, C. M'Creo and F. Mutrso'n. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev 11. Mafchias. Among the sen'ders of wreaths were the directors of the various theatrical and picture enterprises in Christehureh, Mi- and Mrs Bannehr. Miss Donhv, Mr Dobbie. Mr and Mrs G. L. Cull. Mr and Mrs B. T. Robinson, Mr E. Clark, Mr and Mrs Kibblewhite. Mr J, Hawkos, the New Brighton Rifle and Bowling Clubs Mr and Mrs W. A. Drake. Mr and Mrs W. C. BarneU. Mr and Mrs E. T. March, Mr and Mrs Bergh, and Mr and Mrs Osment. WALTER CRYSET/L. Mr Walter Crysell. a. very old and respected resident of the Oust district, pasofd away on Thursday. Born in Ksser; in 1837, he emigrated" to South Australia at the age of eighteen years., in the year 180-!>. After spending five years in Australia ho came to Xew Zealand in 1860. He took up land in ihe C'itst district shortly after, and later at West Eyroton. but for ihe last fourteen years he hud lived with his son at Oust, Deceased and his brother, Mr William Cryseli, were tho first two settlers in the Cust district. took a Icon interest in church affairs and was on ihe vestry of St Jame* for a number of years. He was also a member of the West Eyreton Bead Board and school committee for a number of year.-. He leaves two sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren. Mrs Crysell predeceased him by seventeen years.
