The following sales are reported:—Huddart Parkor (ord.), 40b 8d; New Zealand Drug, 54s Id. MUTUAL BENEFIT BUILDING SO«IETY. The forty-sixth an/mal meeting of the Mutual Benefit Building and Investment Society of Canterbury was held yesterday, there being a large attendance. The annual report showed that »a a result of the year'a operations the directors wore able to pay a. o.vidend of 7 per cent, while the balance, £236 19s 3d, was carried forward to the
profit and loss, new account. During the year £3OO had been invested In the war loan. A special vote of thanks was passed to Mr S. Manning, who had been a member of' the board of directors since 1888, while he had also been chairman at various times. Messrs W. C. Bean and W. H. Clark were re-elect-ed'directors, whi'o Mr W. M. Olliver was reappointed shareholdere' auditor. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the directors and staff.
