The anti-German feeling in Hungary is said to be growing. Lurlendorff's resignation is said to mean that the German General Staff is now under civilian control. Allied statesmen and military leaders are conferring in France in regard to the enemy's peace appeals. WESTERN FRONT. South of Valenciennes the British made progress in local attacks and repulsed an attack at Famhrs. The French east of the Oise have made further progress, and east of Rethel the Americans stormed a strong enemy position.
