At the conclusion of a catie of burglary and theft at the criminal session of the Supreme Court yesterday Mr S. G. Raymond, K.C., Crown Prosecutor, asked that, as Mr Herbert, the owner of a dwelling entered, had lost all his money, the sum of £S found in tho prisoner's possession should bo handed over to him. Mr Justice Herdman said that although there might be no doubt as to tho real owner of the money he could not make such an order. Mr Raymond could make application for the return of the £1 note that Mr Herbert had recognised.
