CHRISTCHURCH MINIATURE RIFLE ASSOCIATION. On Saturday, at the Christchurch Miniaturo KUI - Associations open-air range ai Cashmere, the first compe.nion was fired, the conuitions being seven sho.s each at 50yds, <uyds and 100yds respectivclv. CANTERBURY v. WELLINGTON. A representative match was tired between picked teams representing ■ Ghrisvohurch and "Wellington Associations respec.ively, Mr J. Sco;t watching the match at Wellington for Christchurch, and Mr F. Fraser tor Wcl- | lington at dieter Street. Ten men a side had ten shots each. The second of a scriss of three shoots by the members of the Styx Gun Club, for a trophy dona ed by Mr F. Sisson, seven pigooii3, with an optional sweeps, alto, was iir:d on the club's ground, Harwood Road, Papanui, on Saturday. This was’ followed by a seven-sparrow handicap for [ a gold medal donated by Mr A. Johnston, sen., with an optional 'sweepstake. Two sevensparrow handicap sweeps ake and a first, miss out handicap wore also concslcd. The weather was bright, but bit crly cold and very windy. The attendance of shooters and visitors was moderate.
