The Hon J. A. Hanan states that he has been advised rthat the Education Department has a right to appeal for Second Division teachers of primary schools called up for active service. The position having become so serious, and in order to place all teachers on the same footing and secure uniformity of action, he has approved the recommendation of the Director of Education that appeals should be made by the Department in cases where education boards will not appeal.
