ANNUAL MEETING. The annual ■meeting of the Banks Peninsula Agricultural and Fastoral Association was held at Little River on Tuesday; present—Mossrs J. O. Coop, J. Johnson, W. F. Parkinson, J. F. Buchanan, D. W. M’Lean, A. V. Hutohinson, F. Coop, J. Reed, G. Reed, M. Barclay, C. J. Cradock, H. T. Chapman, G. Barclay, D. Richards, T. White, S. W. Birdling, J. V. Chapman, T. Thompson, T. Quealy, W. Jacobson and H. Lowthwaite. Motions of sympathy were passed with tho relatives of Captain Seddoti, and Messrs James Knight, C. Andrews and H. Pannett, and tho secretary was instructed to write accordingly. The report, which was adopted, stated that last show had been a record one in point of entries, being six in excess of the previous highest total. The date of the next annual show was fixed for Tuesday, November 19, Special prizes to tho amount of £3O were promised in tho room.

The secretary was instructed to write to tho Railway Department regarding tho bad state of repair of the trucking yards at Littlo River and Birdling’s Flat. On the motion of Mr AV. F. Parkinson a hearty vote of thanks wa3 passed to the retiring president and the officers of the association, who had worked so well to make the last show a success At a meeting of the General Committeo afterwards, there was a large attendance. In the absence of the president Mr T. Thompson presided. Mr H. Lowthwaite was reappointed secretary. Marshals and stewards were elected as follows;—Sheep—Marshal, Mr A. Y.
