The report of the Defence Expenditure Commission expressed surprise that information on respective costs of rationing in the camps was not published broadcast from time to time, so as to encourage a spirit of healthy rivalry. The Defence Department has apparently adopted this suggestion, tor the latest issue of general orders contains the following table of the cost of rations per man per diem in carious camps and other establishments:—
