[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 12. A telegram of June 7 regarding the Hon T. M. Wilford's reply to a deputation from the Council of Churchej in the process of condensation seems to have conveyed a wrong impression. The Minister told the council that lid did not agree with their contention that marble bars and similar places should bo closed on Sundays, but that he agreed with the Chief Justice that they were works of necessity and should be open. At the same time he promised to put their views before Cabinet, though he himself did not sympathise with them. t
