A meetimr of creditors in tho bankrupt estate" of H. P; Evans, music salesman, Ash burton, was held in the Courthouse. Ashburton, yesterday afternoon. Mr J. B. Christian, Official Assignee, presided, and Mr R. Kennedy appeared for debtor. Tho amounts owing to unsecured creditors totalled £214 2s sd. and to secured c-cditors £179 lis 9d. The estimated vakio of the security was £'lo, making the total liabilities £353 14s 2d. The assets totalled £ll3 0g lid. leaving a deficiency of £240 13s 3d. The princital unsecured creditors were Cotton Bios., merchants, Christchurch, £72 12s id, Bejru: and Co.. niano and organ importers. Dnnedin, £3B 6s 4d. and A. W. M'Carthy, Duncdin, £l2 fis 9d. Tho secured creditor was R. M'Elhintiey, farmer, Ashburton, tho security being an old model motor-car. On the motion of Mr A. Orr, seconded by Mr Webley. it was decided, that the De-puty-Official Assignee should take steps to realise on the assets.
