CHARGE OF BIGAMY.

, [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 30. At the Police Court to-day James Whyte was committed for sentence on a charge of bigamy. The evidence showed that accused first married at Toko nine years ago, apd that his wife uow was living _in Auckland. For nearly two years accused kept company with a domestic help, who believed he was single, and who bore a child to him, and they were married at tho Registry Offico in November last. The legal wife was suing for divorce, and accused had promised to legalise the second marriage when he could do so.
