SEAMEN’S INSTITUTE. The superintendent of the British and i Foreign Sailors’ Society reports that, during the past week sixty men, including twelve officers, made use. ol the Seamen’s Institute. 1 iye ships had been visited by the niissioner, Mr S. Booth, and twenty New Testaments had been distributed. About forty men baa attended religions services. Twenty i comfort bags had also been distributed. Six sick. seamen bad been visited in hospital aiul two at the Convalescent Home. Situations bad been found for three boys. A large quantity of literature had been distributed, including one ocean library. BOWLING. The sixteenth challenge ma tch for the Agar Gold Buttons was played for on Saturday afternoon and resulted in the holders, <l. H. Collins, T. Newton, O. Brown and J. Childs, being beaten by the challengers. H. Barnard, J. Mahar, J. Young and J. Gower (skip). The winners have been challenged by a team consisting Of 0. Brown, J. Childs, D. Sinclair and S. Sinclair (ship). The Club Championship Singles was commenced on Saturday afternoon. D. Sinclair beat S. Sinclair by 16 points to 10.
