(Copy.l VALETTA. Ashburton. 11th Deo., 191“ • MR J. B. CHRISTIAN. Local Agent, ■\TATIO\AL MUTUAL LIRE ASSOCIA•iN TTON, ASHBURTON. Dear Sir. — Rc William Wellington Patterson (deceased).—l desire to place on record, for publication if necessary, the following important facts in reference to my late husband 9 Policy with the National M-utual Life Association. The Policy was taken out by him or. 28th September. 1913, and premiums were paid regularly up to 28tli March, 1915. Afiar that date no further premiums were paid in cash, but the Office advanced the unpaid premiums out of surrender value and kept the Policy in full force until death took place on 16tli July, 1917, and I have' this day received from the National Mutual a cheque for -£l9O 10s Ud in settlement of my claim. Although only. 2J years' premium* were paid the Policy was kopt in force for a further period of 2 years and 4 months by the “ NonForfeiture Principle,” which was first introduced into life assurance business V the National Mutual, and which has now helped me to benefit materially by its operation. I fully recognise that my late httsbahd’s Policy is a striking example for the blessings of Mutual Life Assurance, and I hope that good use will bo made of this letter, so that others may be brought to realise the benefits to be derived from a life assurance Policy in the Office which you represent. (Signed) Yours faithfully. ELIZABETH F. E. PATTERSON. 0L 8617
