TO THE EDITOK. Sir,—Christmas goodwill and cheer being -long since an established fact, will you permit me through the columns of your most paper to again invite our friends to join in bringing a special ray of sunshine and cheer to the inmates of the Salvation Army Industrial Home, Papanui Road ? The good work of rescue and salvation has been pursued assiduously during the year with unabated energy and steal, and many good results have followed the efforts put forth. Our friends in the past have willingly and generously contributed to our Christmas cheer, and for this wo are grateful. I again appeal on. behalf of the less fortunate for a generous response to this worthy object. The giver will have the satisfaction of knowing that the gift is most, sincerely and heartily appreciated, and, as the Master has said,' “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these . . . ye have done it unto Me.” Donations may he sent to the matron Salvation Army Industrial Home, 175, Papanui Road, St Albans.—l am, etc., ...
