POSITION NOW SATISFACTORY.
STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER j
"Referring to butter and cheese,", stated \the Prime Minister on Saturday to a "Post" representative, "I want to make it perfectly clear that the output of butter and the season which has now commenced, has been purchased by the Imperial authorities. A'll that now remains to be done is with regard to some details which are of undoubted importance to the producers, but which I .have no doubt—and I am going by cable messages that have passed within the last few days—will he satisfactorily arranged as between the New Zealand Gov* eminent and- the representatives of the Imperial Government. "I have arranged to meet the representatives of the dairy industry on Wednesday next, and I believe thai) this will be the final meetong for tho season."
