CRECHE KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION.
f. . ; A general meeting of the Creche Kindergarten. Association was held at tho y.M.C.A. on "Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Taylor presided over a small attendance. The reports from the schools were road and adopted. The attendances were as follows:—" Sunbeam " roll 40. average 32; Sydenham roll 62, average 14.4; Phillipstown Toll 'SB, average 38.2 The mothers' subscriptions amounted to £5 8s 3|d. Sickness had interfered with the attendances during the month, especially at Sydenham, which had been closed for three weeks on account of whooping cough. Miss Perry had been moved to Phillipstown, and Miss Rutherford had taken her place at " Sunbeam." Miss Montgomery had entered Phillipstown as a probationer. Miss Cocks reported a balance of £250. i A notice was received from the Education : Department stating that £7l 17s 6d bad been paid to the association's account at the Bank of New South Wales, being capitation payment for the children attending the kinwas received from Mr Caughley, ' Assistant-Director of Education, stating that in future children would only be passed to Ihe public schools on January 1 and June l in order to do away with the inconvenience caused by the frequent interruptions which occurred under the previous system. ; It was decided to close the schools on Deatmber 14. ___»_—
