CRICKET.
INTER-SCHOOLS' MATCH. o WON BY CHRIST'S COLLEGE. The annual cricket match between Christ's College and Boys' High School was brought to a conclusion yesterday, Christ's College winning by an innings and 390 runs. On tho first two days Qirist's College had made 601 for eight wickets, and had declared. On Wednesday High School, had been dismissed' in their first innings for 99, and in the follow on had lost four wickets for 89. The wicket rolled out very well, considering that nearly 800 runs had been made on it, but it promised to "work" a good deal for the bowlers. Crawford took strike to Blunt, bringing 90 up with a single. Cox played out the over, and Maefarlane took up the attack'at the other end. Crawford played back weakly to his third delivery, and it fell into Edmond's hands in short slip. 90—5—34. Bowes, the incomer, tipped tho fifth ball to Cowlishaw in slips. 90—6—0. Burns did almost exactly the samo thing with the last ball, but the fell short. It was a maiden two-wicket over. Cox hit" Maefarlane to leg for four, but Burns in hitting at Blunt was dropped at mid-off by Cowlishaw. Then Cox played back at Maefarlane and hit a bail off with his hand. 97—7—10. Burns was caught at the wicket off the samo bowler. Tothill juggling tho ball before he held it. 106—8—4. In the same over Fraser was clean bowled. 106—9—0.
