RETURNED SOLDIERS

ARRIVAL OF CANTERBURY MEN. Fifty-eight men and eight .officers have returned to the Dominion. Those for' Canterbury and Otago arrived in Christchurch last night. A small crowd gathered at.the railway station to welcome homo.the men. Those fm; Otago, eight in number, will go south by the express to-day and they will be treated to cigarottes and fruit by Christchurch ladies before leaving. Most of tho returned men are in excellent condition and no cot cases were brought through last night. The contingent that has returned includes men from both and France. Major Hubbard, of tao # Wellington Mounted Rifles, who. -is on leave, was in chargo of the trcop.
