PERSONAL NOTES 1
On Monday afternoon Mr J. A. Popper, of Bligli's Road, Papanui, received from the Minister of Defence a. telegram informing him that his older son, Private Stanley : Pepper, had been wounded in France on September 10. Private Pepper was born at Idris Road, Papanui, and roceived his education at Elmwood and Fendalton Schools. _ Private Pepper wa.s a cadet in the Railway Doparement when he enlisted with the Eleventh Reinforcements.
