Chaplain W. Ready, who has been on a hospital ship, has returned to Dunedin. Mr Ready, when ho arrived in London, received the sad nows of his youngest son’s death (Gunner Gordon Ready), who was reported first missing, and now is reported believed killed in action. Chaplain Ready brought homo with him his second son (Gunner Wilfred Ready), who has seen three years’ service, and who had to bo operated, upon in the trenches in France. This lad engaged in the'first brush the Now Zealanders had with the Turks up tho Suez Canal, prior to the Gallipoli engagement. Lieutenant Harold Ready, the oldest son, is expecting to take his departure for the scene of battle. Mr Ready lias four nephews fighting. in France. Three of them are in the Canadian Scottish. One has b.oen wounded twice, and is back in tho fighting line again.
