AGENT’S BANKRUPTCY.

ESTATE OF A. E. CRADDOCK,

DEBTOR’S STATEMENT.

LARGE SUMS OWING TO CREDITORS.

The affairs of A. E. CJraddock, auctioneer ail’d Innd and estate agent, who filed a petition in bankruptcy last week, arc so involved that the debtor has found it impossible at present to supply to the Official Assignee an adequate statement of his position. With his lawyer and an accountant appointed by tho Official Assignee he has been ablo to prepare a statement, but it is not tho usual sworn statement supplied by debtors, and it .is explained that it is merely approximate. On both tho debit and credit sides of tho account there are items whoso value cannot bo estimated at present. Several items set down by the debtor as due to unsecured creditors will have to bo investigated by an accountant in order to ascertain what sums, if any, aro duo.,

This approximate statement shows a total of £17,084 15s Id owing to unsecured creditors. The total assets, mainly real estate, aro set down at £3OOB. On those figures, consequently, there is a deficiency of £14,076, but, for the reasons stated, this cannot be taken to represent the actual position, which, it is hoped, will be made dearer at tho first meeting of creditors, on July 18. The following is tho debtor’s summary:—
