GOVERNOR’S BAY. At the second annual mooting of the Governor's Bay Red Cross branch, there was a good attendance of members, the president (Mrs Kaye) being in tho chair. Tho report sta'od that the branch find a working membership of twelve, and confined itself almost entirely to bandage work. During tho year 625(1 articles were rent to tho central depot. Tho treasurer reported having received £143 lls 6d and tho expenditure was £l4O 10s -Id, leaving o. balance in hand of £8 is Id, The report and baiance-shoet were adopted. work. He mentioned Mrs Henderson ana Mrs Leech for their-good ana constant services, and thanked all who in any way helped to make the association so successful. He also thanked tho secretary and treasurer (Mr M'Carmack) for all the work he had done so willingly. He extended the sympathy of tho association to nil those in the district whose sons, since last, year, had given their lives in tho cause, r.nd assured them that tho association very deeply shared in their grief. The. motion was seconded l>y Mr 'Watson and carried unanimously. A vote of thanks' was accorded to the donors of the three oil paintings, and four other works of art, for the art union in aid of tho fund. Mr Hawke was unanimously re-elected chairman and Mesdr.mes A. Henderson ana G. Loach and Mr R.' F. Henderson wets elected vice-presidents. The matter of the proposed art union of oil paintings and other works of art was left in the bands of tho secretary and the donors.

The subject of Christmas gifts for the men at tho trout was raised, and tho following motion wds proposed by Mr Smith:—“ That, every ‘ boy ’ at the front from Oxford County, have a Qhvistmas present on the same lines as last year." The motion was seconded by Mr Leech, and carried. Mr Leech moved, “ That the Patriotio Committee be written to and asked to devote one night of the pictures to the abovo Christmas Fund.” Mr Watson seconded tho motion, which was carried.

It was renorled that during tho past twelve months the Oxford branch had supplied 1240 garments and 40,213 bandages, etc., to Red Cross purposes, not including milk, coffee, cigarettes, tobacco, magazines, honey, etc.
