SEVERE EARTHQUAKE.
DISTURBANCE IN PACIFIC. TIDAL WAVES IN BAMOAN AND FRIENDLY GROUPS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright ' (Received July 10, 9.20 p.m.) SUVA. July 10. An earthquake and tidal -ware occurred in tho Samoa Group. They wore the severest on record. The Friendly Group experienced an earthquake. At Hapai there were three waves fourteen feet high. No material damage was done v Keppel Island suffered most. Many Native houses were destroyed and a concrete wharf carried away. There were no fatalities. The shock was not felt at Niua-fu.
