At a meeting of tho oxecutiro committee of tho Lady Liverpool Fund, held ou Monday morning, Mrs Holland reported that the Canterbury Women's Club, as the result of the rocont concert arranged by them, had handed to. the fund a cheque for £l5O. The monthly subscriptions had been well maintained', and«theso had proved, the chief source of revenue. A grant of £5 had been made'monthly to tho contra' depot,, while special grants inc'uded £3O foi Mr ' Bruco's ' appeal, £5 ,for tho, Wn-Vroa' Fund, £lO for Christmas comforts, £s' for the Tobacco Fund, and £0 foi the Tea and Su?ar Fund. Thirty-seven parcela had been sent spocially to tho' Sumner men last Christmas. Weekly sewing meetings had been held, and a large number of articles had been sent, forward to the central depot. Special reference was also made, to the services rendered by Mr C. A. Lawson in carrying the articles free of charge.
