BELFAST SCHOOL.

ROLL OF HONOUR- UNVEILED. Anzac Day was fittingly observed at Belfast, tho business places closing at 1 p.m. The event of the day was the unveiling of tho Belfast School Roll of Honour. 0 Tlio board, which.is of elaborate design, was presented to tho school by Mr J. Tiscl,. of Ricearton, an ex-pupil of the school. There was a large attendance. Tlio roll contains the names of eighty men on active, service. Those still in camp have yet. to bo added. Sixteen of those whose names appear on the board have made tho supreme sacrifice. Tho Hon D. Buddo, M.P., performed the unveiling ceremony, and said that it. was gratifying to find so many present. Although they had made many, sacrifices they were prepared to undergo further privations to bring the war to a successful issue. Tlio Rev T. M. Curnqw addressed the children and said that the Anzacs •had kept up the best traditions of the British Army, and the children would do well, whether in times of peace or war, to remember that the Anzacs in landing at Anzac Bay had accomplished an almost impossible task, and by copying that example the children would find it easier to surmount the obstacles of life.

Mr C. H. .Opio also made appropriate references to Anzac Day and the Roll of Honour. Other speakers .included Messrs A. Hopkins, E. J. Wotton,' W. Nicholls. and, W. P. Spenser. ...
