Supreme Court Harold George .Holland, a hop grower, was found guilty of supplying an instrument to Alice Alma Green for unlawful purpose and unlawfully procuring the instrument for such * purposeOn a third count of procuring a person unknown to use an instrument the jury wore unabfe to agree, vAccused, was sentenced to three years* imprisonment. Alice Alma Green was acquitted on charges of unlawfully procuring an instrument and permitting' at Wellington the use of the instrument upon herself. When Holland was called as fly Crown witness' be declined 'to* answer any questions or explain the reason for his attitude, remaining obstinate in spite of repeated warnings. The. judge sentenced him to eighteen months’ imprisonment, cumulative, on hiß previous sentence.
