ANNUAL MEETING. . «usj ■ .■--''--. The second annual meeting of Citizens' Coast Defence Corps '(LyttelW ton) was held on Thursday. Major J.:Ci T. Bricc presided over a-fair attendance-"' of members. . . j*S The report stated that during the;/ year forty-five parades had been held. | The work done consisted of Swiss drill}/* physical drill, firing exercise, squad drill/§ company drill and gun drill at the fort ::i and in the drill shed. The Office since opening had put through a over 400 enlistments. Through th'B" :.• kindness of the Lyttelton Harbour. Board a miniature rifle range had been made behind the Sailors' Home, and was much appreciated by members.' During the winter months competitions had been held for trophies. In the..,, first competition the first prize... givjbirf \ by Dr Newell, was won by F. Robert l son, the second prize, given by .the;-. Firing Committee, by Plimmer, and the,;] third prize, also given by the-*iringj/; Committee, by F. Sutton. A special,, prize for the highest score off the gun/ was won by J. Garrard.
