MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.

The half-yearly meeting of Ridgely Lodge, 1.0.0. F. (N.Z.), was held in Ridgely Hall on Wednesday. Brother G. Morrow presided over a large attendance. A motion of deep sympathy was recorded to tho widow. of the lato' Brother T. A, O'Callaghan, who was drowned at Sumner recently. The new honours board for Past Grands, wbioh was the work of two members of the lodge, namely. Brothers H. Withell and R. Joughin, was unveiled by Brother Morrow, after a very interesting address on the work of the lodge' for the last few yfcars by Brothor W. Hunter, G.M. Tho following committees were elected: —Hall Committee, Brothers L. White, H. Greonslade, W. ■ Hunter, G. Morrow; G. RickaTd, H. Gott and E. ißldridge; ' Social Committee, Brothers G. Morrow, L. White, W. Greensladc, A. Taylor, G. Riokard and E. Eldridge; Standing Committee, Brothers L. White, G. Morrow, G. Rickard, W. Hunter and B. Eldridge; sick visitors, "Brothers L. White, J.. Biggs and H. Gott; delegate to United Friendly Societies Disponsary, Brother W. Hunter; delegate to Friendly Societies' Council, Brother E. Eldridge; ' auditors, Brothers M. G. Thome, ID. Eldridge and .H. E. Gott. Brother W. Hunter, (financial secretary) read the half-yearly balance-sheet, and the auditors reported fully on it. The balancesheet showed a very satisfactory position and reflected great' credit on the financial officers of the lodge. Brother Valentine, 1.P.G.M., and installing officers of .the district, attended arid installed the following officers: —NG., Brother G. Rickard, PiG.; V.G., Brother H. Withell; secretary, Brother E.
