[Pek Pitass Association.] . GORE, January 29

At a largely attended meeting at Riversdale. to consider organisation in respect of the agricultural industry, held on Sunday night, representatives of practically every settlement on Waimea Plains attended. It was resolved —"That this meeting of the people of Waimea Plains urge the Government that the calling up of farmers and those engaged in attendant industries should be stayed until the organisation which the Cabinet has promised to institute is working sufficiently well to maintain farms in their present productive condition."
