Mr John Dias, who has just returned from England after attending as general-' councillor for Australasia the triennial general council of the society, heLd'l in Manchester in July and August last, . and Mr F. A. Moody, senior member of ."' tho advisory council for New Zealand ,~C" have been given full power to deal with, the requirements of the New Zealand '.;;. members as regards local autonomy. A Satisfactory solution of all difficulties is expected. Two delegates from tho-r* Canterbury Carpenters' Union have been invited to attend the. award con-.-, fcrence, and the union has accepted the offer.
