MEETINGOF COMMITTER:" l' A meeting of the committee of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children was held on Thursday;' present— Mesdames Morton (in the chair), L. Clark, Bloxam, Stevenson, Smith and Bristed, and Misses Maud and Rose Tabait.. Lt was decided, on account of the | large number of mothers seeking advice, to keep the rooms open in the mornings from 9 o'clock to 12, the afternoon hours to be from 2 o'clock to 4, the alteration to come into force about the middle of December. The president reported that Nurse Hansard had just returned from her month's holiday, and Nim'se Mackio was new away on leave. During her absence Nurse Cunnington was attending to the country work. The secretary reported that 1000 copies of " Care and Feeding of Baby " had arrived, and were meeting an eager demand. It was reported, that during November tw;> cases, of baby garments had been shipped to England. Mrs H. Reaves and Mrs Free, who are temporarily leaving . Christehureh, tendered their resignations. It was decided to ask them to accept leave of absence. Mrs Morton reported that she had j given addresses regarding Phmket aims i at Kniapoi, Chert soy, Rakaia, Horo- j rata. Sumner and lliccarton, and the j committee expressed appreciation of her work. It was decided to write to all subscribers who had not paid their subscriptions by the end of November, asking them, to continue their supportto the society, which was now mote urgently needed than ever, subscriptions to be sent 'to'' Airs A. 11. Bristed, Avonside, or to the office in Chancery Lane.
