There was 'to entry of 21 horses at the National Mortgage and Agency Company s sale at Rar.giora yesterday chiefly aged geldThere was a good demand for young act'v'e sorts, aged horses and hacks being almost, unsaleable. The principal sales were: mil re .£22' 15s, three-year-old gelding £29, yearling colt £9, and two ponies, one at £7 and the other at £9. COALUATH. At the Coalgate yards yesterday there was an entry of about 860 sheep, nearly all being in the store pens. There was a keen demand. and late high values were well maintained. The following sales were made:—410 two-tooth shorn wethers 22s sd, 13(5 two and four-tooth cross-bred wethers, in forward condition 27s lid, 52 merino ewes and lambs 14s Id (all counted), 53 merino ewes and lambs at 12s 92, 124 cross-bred ewes, shorn, and lambs 20s (all counted). About 60 head of cattle were yarded, all soiling at auction, as follows:—10 calves at 30s, 8 veavlings at £4 7s, dry cotvit £8 4s, 8 eighteen-months to two-year-old heifers at £7 ss, and a herd oi seventeen dairy cows and heifers sold at from £7 5s to £lO per head. CLEARING SALE AT GLENROY. ' Messrs Pyne and Co. and H. Matson and Co., who acted in conjunction, report having held a most successful clearing sale on Thursday at Glenroy on account of Mr Joatoh Atkinson, who has disposed of his lease". There was a large attendance and keen bidding, the sheep especially bringing high prices.
