CRECHE AND KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION.
: A special meeting of the Christchurch Crcelio and Kindergarten Association was held at the Y.M.C.A. rooms oil ThursdayMrs Taylor presided over a large attendance. Vote, of thanks were passed to Dr Chilton and Messrs Aschman and Nairn for their assistance at the annual meeting and to Mesdames Chilton. Bingham, Kellaway and Mis* Paterson, whoss efforts in decorating the hall and making the arrangements for supper contributed so largely to the success of the evening. Mrs Taylor stated that tho arrangements for Kindergarten Day were well in Hand. , In company with Misses Cocks, Hull and tlie secretary, ehe had visited the Art Gallary and after discussion with Miss Hull had decided that a. little change the- arrangements would be necessary. She was sure the programme will prove most interesting and instructive. Miss Hull had spared .no trouble and visitors would have a practical illustration of a ' kindergarten at work. The large room would be used as a school and in the other room there would be a produce work and sweet stall, and also a stall for New Zealand made articles. Afternoon tea. would be served to those who wished itThe time for opening would be 2.30. It was resolved to ask Lady Liverpool to attend the function. It was decided that tickets should oe printed and issued with as little delay as possible. The secretary stated that Mrs Smith-Wil-son and Miss Tabart bad offered to have 250 circulars typed and these would be sent to those interested in kindergarten work.
