Henderson, charged with failing to send a boy to school, said that the boy played truant, and had received thirteen “ stripes ” one time, and “ twenty cuts ” the second time. Palmer, charged with failing to send- a hoy -to. school,<• said, that, the boy was in a very dangerous state of health. John Barclay (Air Gresson) applied for the reduction of an order for maintenance of £1 a week, made_ in respect of his half-sister, Jane W. Primmer (Mr Hunt). The case was one in which orders of lO.s against a brother and half-brother had been increased to £1 a week in view’ of a, judgment by the Supremo Court.. Mr Gresson submitted that the applicant’s farm last year had been worked at a loss of £340, and lie had a. wife and five young children.
