GAS POISONING AT ADDINGTON WORKSHOPS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir.—With your permission I would like to reply to the inquiry held in Wellington by the Railway Departmentin reference to the above, t would like to know are those great Labour organisations, the Engineers’ Society and the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants', going to be satisfied with this report.? Are those doctors, who gave certificates to the men going to be hoodwinked like this? _ Now, where are our M.P.’s? Here is , one question T would like to ask. Did tho Government doctor inform Mr Biekerton that just, previous to him taking samples of air from Addington Workshops the sewers from the lavatories which were connected with the sewers running through the erecting shop were disconnected? In conclusion I hope that, they will_ not allow themselves to swallow this lump of red tape. What we want, is a public inquiry, and we won’t he satisfied until ™ get one.—lan,,
