ITis report which was submitted to the committee recently, stated that out of about 170 names of cligiblcs on the amended roll nearly forty recruits had enlisted and been passed, by the medical officer, and were now' either at the front or in camp. Twenty-three others enlisted but failed to pass the medical examination. 'The remainder of those on the roll were for the greater part either married, or men who gave good reasons for not being able to leave tor the front.
